Nino Aldi is an award-winning writer/director whose body of work largely encompasses the thriller genre with an emphasis on intense emotional storytelling with a sleek cinematic flair. He works and resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Nino’s first feature film, “Who Killed Cooper Dunn?”, an intense who-dun-it-thriller starring Tyler Ritter, that he directed, co-wrote & produced, was released on Showtime & Paramount+ in late 2022. His second feature, “Lonesome Soldier”, a gritty military bio-drama starring John Ashton, he directed and is set to have a theatrical release in the Fall of 2023.

Prior to his features, Nino directed over half a dozen festival short films, most notably Tribes, which qualified for the Academy Awards (Oscar Buzz Perez Hilton Article) and won multiple international short film festivals, including “Best Comedy” at LA Shorts International Film Festival, “Best Short Film” at Just for Laughs – Eat My Shorts and Canada’s YES- Let’s Make A Movie Film Festival, in which Nino also won “Best Director.”

Nino is casting his third feature film, “Black Bouquet”, which he co-wrote and is attached to direct in late spring 2024 while his script, “Mercury Retrograde”, is a current Semi-finalist in Page International Screenwriting Awards 2023.

In addition to his distinctive directorial style, Nino has extensive experience on film sets working below the line over the past 20 years. He is a member of the DGA as an assistant director, and is credited on NBC’s The Voice as a field producer for 18 seasons. His extensive knowledge of film production, post-production, and ensuring the creatives meet the cost, separates him from the pack of indie film directors.
