Moritz Mohr is a German-born filmmaker who has been a director, writer, producer, editor, visual effects designer, camera operator, and/or assistant lighting director on seven shorts and his first mid-length film as writer-director, Battlefield (2009).

Mohr expanded his short film, Boy Kills World, into his full-length feature debut as story writer and director of the action movie, Boy Kills World (2023), with Sam Raimi as lead producer and starring Bill Skarsgård, Jessica Rothe, Michelle Dockery, Famke Jansen, and Sharlto Copley, and which premiered in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto film festival before a 2024 wide theatrical release by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions.

Personal Details

Moritz Mohr was born and raised in Frankfurt am Main, Germany by his parents. Mohr attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studied film at UCLA’s legendary Film and Television School.
