Molly Belle Wright
Molly Belle Wright is an 11-year-old actor from Manchester, England, with O-1 visa status.
Molly is currently in production on feature film Flavia De Luce, playing the title role, and starring alongside Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) and Toby Jones (Indiana Jones).
During summer 2024, Molly completed filming on Nine Perfect Strangers 2 in Munich, Germany, and supernatural horror film Black Box (Flight 298), written by the Duffer Brothers (Stranger Things) / Stephen Susco (The Grudge) in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia.
Upcoming releases include U.S. indie feature film, Omaha, where Molly plays co-lead alongside John Magaro (Past Lives); Deep Water, the highly anticipated action thriller from Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Deep Blue Sea) where Molly plays supporting lead alongside Sir. Ben Kingsley (Schindler’s List) and Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight), and finally the festive release of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever from Lionsgate and Dallas Jenkins (The Chosen), a faithful adaptation of the bestselling novel with Molly playing the lead role of Beth, alongside Judy Greer, Pete Holmes and Lauren Graham.
At the age of 7, Molly became the world’s youngest TED speaker after working with Australian visionary filmmaker Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman) and Australian not-for-profit, The Minderoo Foundation, to create a talk to help children ‘Thrive by Five’. Molly was awarded Most Popular TED Speaker of 2021, and now has the third most popular talk in recent history, trailing only Elon Musk and Bill Gates.
2023 saw Molly’s second high profile public speaking event take place on behalf of UNICEF, as she championed her favourite subject, reading, at El Festival de las Ideas in Puebla, Mexico. Molly delivered her 20-minute, self- penned keynote speech to an audience of 4500 conference attendees, alongside filmmaker James Cameron (Titanic, Avatar), and psychologist Dr. Jordan B. Peterson.
Molly is passionate about wildlife conservation and is a National Trust ambassador, having led various initiatives to raise significant funds and awareness for the conservation of endangered species, founding and leading Molly’s Wildlife Warriors and Conservation Club.
2023 also saw Molly’s Shakespeare debut as she successfully auditioned to play the role of Hermia in Val Kilmer’s HelMel Studios & The Inner City Shakespeare ensemble’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Jr, in Los Angeles, California.
