Leslie Bibb (birthname: Leslie Louise Bibb) has gained a reputation over three decades as a striking comic and dramatic presence in movies and TV. Her debut was in a small supporting role in the Howard Stern-starring Private Parts (1997), directed by Betty Thomas. Bibb’s first significant role was opposite Joshua Jackson and Paul Walker in the successful Rob Cohen-directed thriller for Universal, The Skulls (2000). Bibb then co-starred with David Arquette, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Paul Sorvino in the Warner Bros. comedy, See Spot Run (2001), earning $43 million on a $16 million budget.

After co-starring in the failed comedy, Wristcutters: A Love Story (2006), Bibb made a big impression in a supporting role in Adam McKay’s terrific hit NASCAR comedy, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), starring writer-star Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Sacha Baron Cohen, Gary Cole, and Duncan, earning $163.4 million for Sony. Bibb stood out as a Vanity Fair reporter in Marvel’s foundational mega-hit, Iron Man (2008), directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Shaun Toub, grossing $586 million; Bibb resumed her role in the sequel, Iron Man 2 (2010), again directed by Jon Favreau, and topping the first movie’s box office with a take of $624 million globally.

Leslie Bibb jumped into horror when she co-starred with Bradley Cooper, Tony Curran, Brooke Shields, and Vinnie Jones in the Clive Barker-produced, The Midnight Meat Train (2008), directed by cult Japanese filmmaker Ryuhei Kitamura. Bibb was cast in a supporting role in Disney’s successful rom-com, Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009), directed by P.J. Hogan and co-starring Isla Fisher, Hugh Dancy, Joan Cusack, John Goodman, John Lithgow, and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Leslie Bibb earned a supporting role in the vigilante thriller Law Abiding Citizen (2009), starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, grossing nearly triple its $53 million budget. In one of her few lead roles, Bibb starred in the Tim Cox-directed black comedy, Miss Nobody (2010) and won the Boston Film Film’s Best Actress award, but the movie was sent directly to home video and never theatrically released. Bibb co-starred with Kevin James and Rosario Dawson in the Adam Sandler-backed comedy, Zookeeper (2011), grossing over double its $80 million budget.

Bibb joined an ensemble including Jason Sudeikis, Lake Bell, Will Forte, and Nick Kroll in the Samuel Goldwyn Films-released A Good Old Fashioned Orgy (2011), premiering at the Tribeca film festival. After playing opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Luke Wilson in the little-seen mystery based on Thomas Berger’s novel, Meeting Evil (2012), Leslie Bibb co-starred with Rob Corddry, Keegan-Michael Key, and Kumail Nanjiani in another little-seen movie, the Sundance-premiering horror-comedy, Hell Baby (2013), from writers-directors Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon.

Bibb then played significant support in a more successful movie, Sony’s No Good Deed (2014), co-starring Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson, and then starred in CBS Films’ airplane thriller directed by Takashi Shimizu, Flight 7500 (2014), with Jerry Ferrara, Ryan Kwanten, and Amy Smart, which was released globally except in the U.S., where it landed on VOD. Bibb had another co-starring role (as well as serving as producer) in writer-director Liz Tuccillo’s poorly received dramedy, Take Care (2014), with Thomas Sadoski, yet again preventing Bibb from having a hit as star or co-star.

Bibb played opposite Sam Rockwell, Amy Ryan, Jemaine Clement, Will Forte, and Danny McBride in writer-director Jared Hess’ Don Verdean (2015), which tanked at the box office after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival. Leslie Bibb then joined the ensemble of Ed Helms, Jake Johnson, Annabelle Wallis, Hannibal Buress, Isla Fisher, Rashida Jones, Jon Hamm, and Jeremy Renner in the Jeff Tomsic-directed comedy, Tag (2018), released by Warner Bros. and grossing a solid $78 million. Bibb’s next was a box office bomb with prominent names: Nicolas Cage, Laurence Fishburne, Barry Pepper, Adam Goldberg, Clifton Collins Jr., and Cole Hauser, in writer-director Jason Cabell’s crime thriller, Running with the Devil (2019).

Bibb’s second movie as star-producer was writer-director Vicky Wight’s drama, The Lost Husband (2020), and while intended for theatrical release, was shunted to VOD. Leslie Bibb returned to movie theaters and to comedy in the Laura Terruso-directed About My Father (2023), starring writer-star Sebastian Maniscalco, Robert De Niro, and Kim Cattrall. Bibb then joined director-star Clint Eastwood for the drama, Juror #2 (date to be announced), with Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, Kiefer Sutherland, Gabriel Basso, and Zoey Deutch.
