Lauren LaVera is an actor and a veteran stunt performer who worked as a double or stuntwoman as well as actor, first in her feature debut in M. Night Shyamalan’s hit thriller for Universal Pictures, Split (2016), co-starring James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy and Betty Buckley, earning a knockout $278.5 million global gross against $9 million costs.

LaVera played a supporting role as well as doing stunt performing on director/writer/producer Emanuele Della Valle’s crime drama, Wetlands (2017), with Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Heather Graham, Christopher McDonald, Reyna de Courcy, and Jennifer Ehle, and released by Abramorama.

LaVera was cast in her first recurring lead role as Sienna battling murderous Art the Clown in horror-slasher filmmaker Damien Leone’s Terrifier 2 (2022)—grossing a terrific $15.7 million for Cinedigm distributor–and then in the sequel, Terrifier 3 (2024), co-starring David Howard Thornton as Art, premiering at Fantastic Fest and released wide by Cineverse. LaVera played a supporting role in director/writer/producer Mike Flanagan’s sci-fi The Life of Chuck (2024), his adaptation of Stephen King’s 2020 novella, co-starring Tom Hiddleston, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Mark Hamill and Jacob Tremblay, premiering at the Toronto Film Festival and produced by Intrepid Pictures/QWGmire/Red Room Pictures.

Lauren LaVera was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by her parents. LaVera studied in Italy and developed fluency in Italian, and also trained in ballroom dancing, ballet, and martial arts. LaVera’s height is 5’ 5”.
