Derrick Gilliam
Derrick Gilliam is a tall athletically built 6 feet 6 inch actor from Lansing MI. Derrick was a High School and College basketball star at Lansing Sexton High School, Highland Park Community College and Sam Houston State University. Derrick played professional basketball over seas in Paraguay and Puerto Rico. Although Derrick went to college on a basketball scholarship acting has always been a love of his. Derrick got his start in acting when he was asked to play Tyler Perry’s stand-in for the movie Alex Cross in 2011. Since then the acting bug bit Derrick and he has been going full steam ahead landing more and more roles. Derricks mother is Joann Gilliam and father Willie C. Florence. Derrick is married to Tameka Gilliam and they have 5 children, Rayshawn Devon Blackmon, Dominic Devon Gilliam, Danyae’Pugh, Denver Devonna Gilliam, and Dash Devon Gilliam. Derrick has 2 brothers, Brandon Gilliam and Jason Black and 1 sister Tammy Black and 3 grand-kids Zara, Dillon and Daxton.
