His career took off with his role in Janusz Nasfeter’s movie Ranny w lesie (1964). He has worked with popular Polish directors like Andrzej Wajda, Janusz Morgenstern, and Krzysztof Zanussi. He also starred in international productions, including movies by Volker Schlöndorff and Claude Lelouch.
