Colleen O’Shaughnessy (birthname: Colleen Ann O’Shaughnessy) is a much-in-demand vocal actor, and the voice of the female lead, Tails, in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, in which she appears in Sonic the Hedgehog I (2020) and Sonic the Hedgehog II (2022). Her most wide-ranging work is in the Digimon franchise, including four Digimon movies, and Digimon anime productions, in which O’Shaughnessy has voiced several parts, including the lead female role of Sora.

O’Shaughnessy is known as a specialist in anime and Japanese animation in general, providing English voicing for original Japanese performances. Earlier in her career, O’Shaughnessy did vocal work in John Lassiter’s Disney/Pixar feature, Cars (2006), and the English-language version of Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away (2001) and Ponyo (2008).

Colleen O’Shaughnessy is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, but grew up in Troy, Michigan. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she earned a musical theater BFA degree. Her mother is Michigan Opera Theatre member Peggy O’Shaughnessy. Her sister is theater actor Katie O’Shaughnessy. Colleen O’Shaughnessy married veteran assistant director Jason Villard in November 2000. The couple has two children, Connor and Maggie. The family lives in Los Angeles. Her height is 5’ 5 ½”.
