Chris Hicky

Chris Hicky is an LA Based Grammy nominated director originally from Arkansas. Known for directing many of Keith Urban’s videos and live concerts. Hicky has also directed music vids for many other artists in the country music genre, including Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw. He has won awards including 2010 ACM Video of the Year, 2010 CMT Female Video of the Year, and 2005 CMT Video of the Year. His Grammy nomination came in 2010 for Keith Urban’s Love, Pain, and the Whole Crazy World live concert DVD.

Hicky’s first feature film, The Grace of Jake (2015), was shot entirely on location in his hometown of Forrest City. Its cast include Jordin Sparks, Jake La Botz, Lew Temple, Roy Lee Jones, and Ravi Kapoor, and Michael Beck. Based on Hicky’s own script, the film was funded through the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and achieved critical success and accolades on the festival circuit including a nomination for Best Indie Feature at Woodstock Film Festival. His debut short Blue Horses (2004) played at festivals including CineVegas and the Oxford Film Festival.

Other projects directed by Hicky include commercials, short films, and a television pilot. Hicky (as his friends call him) has projects in development including television shows and feature films. His goal for the next year is to take his love for all things cinema and bring his storytelling to audiences worldwide.
