Braelyn Rankins
Fun-loving actor, writer, and singing sensation, Braelyn Thomas Rankins celebrates a birthday in March and was born into a very creative family. Braelyn was born in Cleveland, Ohio and resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Braelyn’s Mom recognized he was anointed early on and discovered him when he began ministering and singing at the tender age of 5. He enjoys writing movie scripts, video editing, swimming, and playing with friends.
His father, Thomas “Da Answer” Rankins Jr., is an artist, producer, clothing designer, and co-owner of the family’s media company, Life and Legacy Media. His mother, Brandy “BrandyWine” Rankins, is a Multi-Hyphenate: published author, actress, poet, creator, and co-host of the family’s podcast, Life With the Rankins: A Conversation of Faith, Family, and Film. Together with LINK Entertainment, Braelyn’s parents co-manage him and two of his siblings, Jah’Mir (the oldest) and Brielle (his younger sister), both of whom are actors. Braelyn is the third born of his parents’ four children. His brother, Toma’rez, is the second oldest and serves proudly in the military while pursuing directing in college.
Braelyn made his movie debut on February 15, 2018, Co-starring with Toni Braxton, in the Lifetime’s movie Faith Under Fire. He is also known for Doom Patrol, GENIUS: Aretha, Hap and Leonard, Disney’s Lady and the Tramp and laying Young Mufasa in Disney’s highly anticipated, “Mufasa: The Lion King.”
