Born Washington, D.C. BA Wesleyan University, American University in Cairo, Egypt. MFA New York University Tisch Graduate Acting Program. Appeared in 12 Years A Slave, and The Line. Was the acting coach for Dwight Henry in the Oscar-winning film Beasts of the Southern Wild. Records music under the moniker Curt Cook and represents one half of the music duo Beau Jest.
