A specialist in CD animation, Tetsuro Kodama is a director of Japanese anime features, delivering the 2022 martial arts animated action fantasy, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, for Toei Company and Fox International Productions, and featuring the Japanese voice cast of Masako Nozama, Toshio Furukawa, Ryo Horikawa, and Volcano Ota, and the English-language cast of Kyle Hebert, Sean Schemmel, Robert McCollum, Christopher Sabat, and Charles Martinet. Kodama’s is the latest (21st) feature in a long line of Dragon Ball movies and television series based on the original manga of the same title and marks the first Dragon Ball movie made with CG (instead of hand-drawn) animation.

Prior to this feature, Kodama directed animated shorts, such as The Bears’ School (2010), as well as animated shorts and features for television. Kodama served as a storyboard artist for the video game production, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (2015), as well as CGI director for such anime films as Mardock Scramble: The First Compression (2010), 91 Days (2016), Kirakira Precure a la Mode (2017), Hugtto! Precure (2018), and Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018).
