Chopra Jonas’ first Bollywood role was in The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003), followed by lead roles in smash hits Andaaz (2003), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2003), and her widely acknowledged breakthrough performance in the thriller hit, Altraaz (2004). Over the next decade, Chopra Jonas racked up a long and strong roster of roles in popular movies in India, including Krrish (2006), Don (2006), Kaminey (2009), and Barfi! (2012), Mary Kom (2014), and Bajirao Mastani (2015).

After this, Chopra Jonas split her time between roles in Hindi movies, in Hollywood movies, and producing Indian movies in various languages including Bhojpuri (2016’s Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi, 2018’s Kaashi Amarnath), Marathi (2016’s Ventilator, 2018’s Kay Re Rascalaa, and 2019’s Firebrand and Paani), Punjabi (2017’s Sarvaan), Nepali (2018’s Pahuna: The Little Visitors), Hindi (2019’s The Sky is Pink, written and directed by Shonail Bose), Assamese (2019’s Bhoga Khirikee), and English (2020’s Evil Eye).

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ first Hollywood role was in the feature version of Baywatch (2017), opposite Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, and David Hasselhoff, grossing a good $178 million worldwide. Chopra Jonas played support in the little-seen family drama, A Kid Like Jake (2018), starring Claire Danes, Jim Parsons, and Octavia Spencer, premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by another major supporting role in the rom-com, Isn’t It Romantic (2019), starring Rebel Wilson, Liam Hemsworth, and Adam DeVine, earning a weak domestic return of $48 million for Warner Bros.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ biggest English-Hindi role arrived with writer-director Ramin Bahrani’s acclaimed comedy-drama based on Aravind Adiga’s novel, The White Tiger (2021), with Adarsh Gourav and Rajkummar Rao, receiving a brief theatrical run before streaming on Netflix, and earning an Oscar nomination for best-adapted screenplay. Chopra Jonas then landed a supporting role in the long-anticipated sequel, The Matrix Resurrections (2022), from co-writer/director Lana Wachowski and starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Neil Patrick Harris, but producing an extremely disappointing box-office return of $159 million on a $190 million budget.

Chopra Jones next veered into the rom-com lane as co-star with Sam Heughan in writer-director Jim Strouse’s Love Again (2023), with new songs by Celine Dion and generally panned by critics. Under Ilya Naishuller’s direction, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was cast opposite Idris Elba and John Cena in the action thriller, Heads of State (date to be announced). In a rare biopic turn, Chopra Jonas portrayed Rajneesh movement leader Ma Anand Sheela in director Barry Levinson’s Sheela (date to be announced).

Chopra Jonas took on the role of a hitwoman in Ending Things (date to be announced) opposite co-star Anthony Mackie. Chopra Jonas was cast with co-star Chris Pratt in the high-concept action movie based on Andy Lieberman’s graphic novel, Cowboy Ninja Viking (date to be announced), and directed by Michelle MacLaren.
