McCaul Lombardi

McCaul Lombardi is a rising actor who has performed in several films which have premiered at major festivals, including Cannes and Toronto. His breakthrough role was in Andrea Arnold’s road movie, American Honey (2016), premiering at the Cannes film festival (where it won the Jury Prize), with Sasha Lane, Shia LaBoeuf, and Riley Keough. Lombardi’s next role was in writer-director Geremy Jasper’s rap-themed drama Patti Cake$ (2017) with Cathy Moriarty, premiering at the Sundance film festival and then closing night in Cannes’ Directors Fortnight.

Lombardi’s first starring role was his charged performance in writer-director Matt Porterfield’s Baltimore-set drama, Sollers Point (2017), with Jim Belushi, Zazie Beetz, and Marin Ireland, and premiering at the San Sebastian film festival. Another film co-starring Lombardi and at the Cannes film festival (in the 2018 ACID sidebar section) was writer-producer-directors Hanna Ladoul’s and Marco La Via’s Anywhere with You (formerly titled We the Coyotes).

Lombardi once again returned to Cannes (in the Un Certain Regard competition) with a co-starring role in writer-director Danielle Lessovitz’s U.S./France co-production, Port Authority (2019), with Fionn Whitehead, Leyna Bloom, Louisa Krause. Writer-director Carlos Conceicao cast Lombardi in his horror movie, Bodyhackers (2022) with Joana Ribeiro and Elina Löwensohn.

Following this, McCaul Lombardi joined cast members Jeremy Pope, Raúl Castillo, Bokeem Woodbine, and Gabrielle Union in writer-director Elegance Bratton’s Marines drama, The Inspection (2022), premiering at the Toronto film festival. Lombardi then played opposite Roberto Urbina in writer-director Lance Larson’s border thriller, Deadland (date to be announced), with Julio Cesar Cedillo and Chris Mulkey.
