Kid Cudi, also known in select screen credits as Scott Mescudi (birthname: Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi) is a renowned rapper/singer/songwriter who has branched out into movie acting since his feature film debut as co-writer/producer/director Denis Henry Hennelly’s apocalyptic sci-fi movie, Goodbye World (2013), with Adrian Grenier, Gaby Hoffmann, and Mark Webber.

As Scott Mescudi, he played support to star Aaron Paul in the successful action movie, Need for Speed (2014), with Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Rami Malek, Michael Keaton, and Dakota Johnson, grossing $203 million. Mescudi scored a supporting role in the indie rom-com, Two Night Stand (2014), co-starring Miles Teller and Analeigh Tipton, and then Mescudi appeared in the big-screen edition of Entourage (2015), the extension of the hit HBO series from producer/writer/director Doug Ellin, with Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, and Jeremy Piven, but failing to return a profit for Warner Bros.

Mescudi joined the starry cast of Adam McKay’s black comedy, Don’t Look Up (2021), with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Ron Perlman, and Ariana Grande, and streaming on Netflix after a brief theatrical run. Scott Mescudi was both a co-star and executive producer on Ti West’s stunning horror movie duo, X (2022), starring Mia Goth, Jenny Ortega, Martin Henderson, Brittany Snow, and Owen Campbell, and Pearl (2022), grossing a combined $25 million. As Kid Cudi, he played opposite Tosin Cole and Jacob Latimore in House Party (2023), a remake produced by LeBron James and directed by Calmatic, and grossing $9.3 million.

Cudi joined the singing voice ensemble of Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, and Camila Cabello in DreamWorks Animation’s sequel, Trolls Band Together (2023), directed by Walt Dohrn and budgeted at $95 million. Mescudi was a co-star with Courtney Eaton, Thomas Mann, Gina Rodriguez, Joel McHale, and Dave Bautista in the drama, Parachute, marking the directorial debut of Brittany Snow, with a premiere at SXSW film festival.

Scott Mescudi was cast opposite Joel Kinnaman and Catalina Sandino Moreno in producer-director John Woo’s dialogue-free action movie, Silent Night (2023), released by Lionsgate. Mescudi began to work on a string of movies (all of them with dates to be announced) in which he either was a co-star and/or executive producer (MaXXXine, Real Life, Hell Naw, and Ursa Major), or the comedy Teddy, in which he was billed as Kid Cudi as star/writer/producer/director.
