Khris Davis (birthname: Khristopher Adrian Davis) is a rising actor, launching his big-screen career in director Kathryn Bigelow’s much-discussed Detroit (2017), with John Boyega, Will Poulter, Algee Smith, John Krasinski, and Anthony Mackie. Davis joined the ensemble of director-producer Joseph Cross’ and writer Jordan Joliff’s rom-com, Summer Night (2019), with Ellar Coltrane and Ian Nelson, followed by writer-director Sam de Jong’s Goldie (2019), starring Slick Woods and premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Director-co-writer Shaka King cast Davis in his remarkable Black Panther drama, Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), starring Daniel Kaluuya, LaKeith Stanfield, Jesse Plemons, and Martin Sheen, earning six Oscar nominations including best picture after premiering at the Sundance film festival. Davis’ first voice performance was opposite NBA superstar (and producer) LeBron James, Don Cheadle, and Zendaya in the animated commercial bomb, Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021).

Davis’s first major starring role was as boxing superstar George Forman in Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World (2023), with Jasmine Mathews, John Magaro, and Forest Whitaker, released by Sony Pictures.

Personal Details

Khris Davis attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Cheyney University, where he studied acting (particularly the Stanislavski method) and graduated cum laude in 2009.  and then studied the Meisner Technique at Walnut Street Theater. Davis is not married.
