Jaimie Alexander

Known as warrior goddess Lady Sif to dedicated fans of the Marvel Comics Universe, Jaimie Alexander (birthname: Jaimie Lauren Tarbush) is a physically imposing and athletic actor who specializes in brawny action movies and TV vehicles.

After some minor and direct-to-video horror and action movies made from the years 2004 to 2010, Alexander scored a casting coup by landing the Lady Sif role in the Thor franchise, starting with Thor (2011), starring Chris Hemsworth and a company including Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Anthony Hopkins.

Alexander’s franchise run continued with Thor: The Dark World (2013), with an expanded cast including Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, and Rene Russo. The third Thor saga, Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), elevated Alexander’s role, alongside new appearances in the franchise by Christian Bale, Taika Waititi, and Russell Crowe. 

Alexander’s notable non-Thor movies include actor-writer-director Peter Facinelli’s rom-com/drama Loosies (2012), with Joe Pantoliano, Michael Madsen, and Vincent Gallo; and the dark drama, London Fields (2018), based on Martin Amis’s acclaimed novel, with Billy Bob Thornton, Amber Heard, and Jason Isaacs.
