Anna Halberg

Anna Halberg has been an active producer and writer with creative partner and screenwriter Spenser Cohen in their production company Six Foot Turkey. Halberg’s first big-screen credit was as co-producer and line producer of the Seth Grossman-directed found-footage horror movie, Inner Demons (2014), with Lara Vosburgh, which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival before a release by IFC Midnight.

Halberg (as producer) and Cohen (as screenwriter and story writer) had their first joint credits on the Netflix movie, Extinction (2018), followed by Halberg serving as executive producer on director/writer Andrew Ryan’s The Florist (2021), with Rebecca Murphy, Ryan, and Alan Desatti. Halberg was also executive producer on two more features: co-writer/director Michele Civetta’s crime thriller, The Gateway (2021), starring Shea Whigham, Olivia Munn, Frank Grillo, and Bruce Dern, and which was released by Lionsgate; and also an executive producer on the sequel, The Expendables 4 (2023), starring Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Randy Couture, and Andy Garcia under Scott Waugh’s direction.

Halberg made her feature debut as writer-director (with co-writer/director and filmmaking partner Spenser Cohen), and also as executive producer, of the supernatural horror movie, Tarot (2024), starring Harriet Slater, Adain Bradley, Avantika Vandanapu, and Wolfgang Novogratz, and which was released by Screen Gems/Sony Pictures. Halberg’s next project (as producer only) with screenwriter Cohen was the long-delayed sci-if movie, Distant (date to be announced), co-directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck, and starring Anthony Ramos, Naomi Scott, and Zachary Quinto, which was produced by Amblin Partner and released through Universal Pictures.
