Loren Bouchard (birthname: Loren Hal Bouchard) is best known as the creator-producer-writer of Bob’s Burgers (2011-present), which grew slowly into a hit animated show for Fox. The show’s loving depiction of a blue-collar family running a burger joint in the big city echoes many characters, situations, and themes from Bouchard’s early life with his own family. Bouchard’s breakthrough show as an animator was Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist (1995-2002), airing on Comedy Central.

All of Loren Bouchard’s work and created shows, including Lucy, Daughter of the Devil (2005-2007), and Apple+’s Central Park (2020-present), have been for cable or streaming, all of them told in the 30-minute episodic format. Bouchard’s feature film debut (with co-director Bernard Derriman) is an expansion of the Bob’s Burgers universe with The Bob’s Burgers Movie (2022) with the voices of H. Jon Benjamin, Kristen Schaal, Dan Mintz, and Stephanie Beatriz. During the making of the movie, original studio producers, 20th Century (formerly 20th Century Fox) created the division, Fox Family, to take over production of the movie from the shuttered 20th Century Fox Animation.
