Michael Tiddes is an American film director, screenwriter, editor and producer. His most recent release was Netflix’s Sextuplets, currently streaming on the service. A comedy, the film tells the story of Alan, an expectant father who grew up believing he was an only child. While searching for his birth mother, Alan comes face-to-face with Russell, a brother he never knew existed, who helps him uncover their secret status as sextuplets (all played by Marlon Wayans). Soon they begin a spontaneous road trip to track down their additional siblings, but not before Alan wonders whether exploring his roots was a huge mistake.Tiddes’ also directed the Netflix romantic action comedy Naked, starring Marlon Wayans, Regina Hall, Dennis Haysbert, Scott Foley, and Loretta Devine. The film was released in 2017. His other directing credits include Fifty Shades of Black and A Haunted House 1 & 2 for Open Road Films. His feature film debut was A Haunted House 1, which grossed over $60 million worldwide on a mere $1.5 million-dollar budget.Additionally, Tiddes was a director on the Fox sketch comedy show, “In The Flow With Affion Crockett,” executive produced by Jamie Foxx. Tiddes’ short form videos featuring talents such as Damon Wayans Jr., Affion Crockett, Omar Epps and FRED have become viral internet sensations, reaching more than 300 million views.An award-winning music video director, Tiddes helmed his first short film, which he wrote, financed and directed in 2007, titled Crawl Space.Born October 30, 1975, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Tiddes began making short movies at the age of seven with his father’s video camera, complete with homemade special effects. He began his formal training studying painting at the University of Central Florida while also attending film school at Valencia College. In 2002, Tiddes moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of directing.
