Andrew was born and raised in Berkeley, CA. His mother, Sharon Mann, is a concert pianist and is a professor at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music. His father, Felix, was a clinical psychologist.

Growing up in California, Andrew was an avid and competitive skier and a pretty serious cellist. But at 15, he joined the Young Conservatory at The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. From that point on, acting became his passion.

Andrew went to Tufts University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude as a double major in Political Science and Theater. He then went on to train in London at The Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art under a Fulbright Scholarship.

He moved to New York and immediately toured for 2 years in the National Tour of “Biloxi Blues” by Neil Simon. He became a member of Circle Rep. company in New York and did much theater in New York at The New Group, Circle Rep among many others. Regionally, he worked at The Alliance, ACT, The Arena, The Long Wharf among many others. He loved playing Mozart in “Amadeus”, Lenny in “The Homecoming” among many others.

Andrew founded and was Artistic Director of The Cape Cod Theatre Project which was dedicated to new play development on Cape Cod in the summers. CCTP has developed scores of plays that have gone on to Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regionally and around the world.

Recently he loved being in the original cast of “The Band’s Visit” which won 10 Tony Awards on Broadway.

He is a regular presence on television, recurring on many shows including “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, “Billions”, “Instinct”, “House of Cards”, “City on A Hill”, among many others.

He is very proud to be a part of “Armageddon Time”, directed by James Grey, with Anthony Hopkins and Anne Hathaway. He joined the cast at Cannes and at The New York Film Festival.

Andrew is looking forward to the release of three films: “Untitled Cabrini Film” with John Lithgow and David Morse, “Space Oddity” with Kevin Bacon and “Peas and Carrots” as well as some juicy episodic television.

Andrew lives in Brooklyn with his wife Zohar Tirosh-Polk and his two children, Mia and Jonathan.
