Dakota Daulby

Actor / Producer / Writer

Dakota Daulby is a cross-border actor originating from Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. Born extremely premature at a mere 1 pound 18 ounces, he spent his early months in an incubator. Surviving three near-death experiences as a “premee,” Daulby emerged with a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy.

Renowned for his portrayals of villainous and imposing characters, Daulby’s childhood paradoxically marked him as an outsider. Academic challenges in reading and writing steered his passions toward the world of movies. His determination culminated at age 14 with his debut as a lead in a short film, paving the way for subsequent roles in feature films. The pinnacle of recognition arrived in 2015 when Daulby received the esteemed “Best Emerging Performer” award from the Union of British Columbia for his role in “Black Fly.”

Notably, his journey continued with appearances in celebrated TV series including “The 100,” “Wayward Pines,” “Mayans M.C,” and “Billy The Kid.” As his career flourished, so did his creative spectrum, expanding to encompass producing, writing, and directing.

Daulby’s commitment to the cinematic world extends to co-founding Vesperia Films, a lauded boutique film production company that echoes his dedication to authentic storytelling.
