Marcos A. Gonzalez
Marcos Gonzalez was born in the Dominican Republic and came to the States on his 10th birthday. He was raised in Spanish Harlem NYC and heavily immersed into the culture and lifestyle of the Hispanic heritage there.
He did some acting at a young age in school plays, ‘however his passion for music grew stronger in him’, Marcos came from a musical family and following one of his older brothers footsteps learned to play some percussion instruments while still a young man, those Latin rhythms later enable his collaboration with some latín bands.
Later, he shifted styles and discovered a talent for the guitar that enabled in him yet another passion a talent he didn’t know he had, ‘songwriting’. Even though his focus is mainly ‘soft rock’ he’s driven by a force that allows him to go softer and create ‘ballads’, that force is a thing called love, and driven by this force ‘put in his own words’ he’s haunted by melodies that only by adding lyrics and creating a sort of story ‘a love story that is’ would hunt me wherever I go and would only end with the completion of a song.
In 2010 he was introduced once again into acting and rediscovered a passion for the art. He has been focusing on film and television, though he also hopes to expand into theater. He can perform in both Spanish and English easily. He became a SAG-AFTRA member and played roles on movies like “The Wolf of Wall Street”, “About Ray”, “Goodtimes” and most recently “Daddio”. He also appeared on several télevision shows like “Blue Bloods”, “The Good Wife” among others.
