Nicholaus Goossen

Director / Producer / Writer

Birthplace – Los Angeles, California, USA

Grandson of a renown LAPD homicide detective and son of a Hall of Fame corner man, Nicholaus Goossen grew up in his family’s San Fernando Valley based boxing business, “Ten Goose Boxing”. Rather than pursuing the family trade, he ventured into the world of filmmaking at a young age, with his first onscreen credit coming at the age of seventeen. It was his internship in the camera department on the set of the 1997 New Line feature film, “The Wedding Singer”, that led to Goossen’s multi-decade relationship with Adam Sandler and his production company Happy Madison. At the age of twenty six, Nicholaus directed his first feature film at Sandler’s company, the cult classic “Grandma’s Boy” for 20th Century Fox. His sophomore film, “The Shortcut”, is a little-seen thriller that had a small VOD release via Anchor Bay / Lightning Entertainment. Since then, Goossen has been busy in the world of television and streaming – writing, producing, and directing several shows and comedy specials: “Sugar & Toys”, “The Story of Our Times”, “Adam Sandler – 100% Fresh”, “Typical Rick”, “Nikki Glaser – Bangin”, and “Hot For My Name”. He has an extensive body of work in the advertising space, having worked with major brands like Planet Fitness, Vitaminwater, and Forever 21. Nicholaus most recently won a Cleo for his work with the cannabis brand CANN. Goossen has also produced, edited, and directed several hit music videos for artists such as: Julian Casablancas + The Voidz, Bhad Bhabie, Dirt Nasty, Kool Keith, and Diplo.
