Vivien Lyra Blair (birthname: Vivien Lyra Blair) is an acclaimed child actor, first appearing as a five-year-old actor in actor-filmmaker Zoe Lister-Jones’ music-based indie dramedy, Band Aid (2017), with Adam Pally, Fred Armisen, Ravi Patel, and, which premiered at the Sundance film festival and was released by IFC Films.
After receiving considerable acclaim for her scene-stealing performance as “Girl” in the hit Netflix movie, Bird Box (2018), and appearing in Robert Rodriguez’s Netflix movie, We Can Be Heroes (2020), Vivien Lyra Blair did her first vocal performance opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in The Guilty (2021), the American (Los Angeles-based) remake of Gustav Möller’s and Emil Nygaard Albertsen’s 2018 Danish film of the same title, directed by Antoine Fuqua, and which premiered at the Toronto film festival.
Blair then played opposite Sadie Sink in the little-seen indie drama, Dear Zoe (2022), directed by Gren Wells. In her highest-profile role to date, Blair co-starred with Sophie Thatcher and Chris Messina in the Rob Savage-directed horror movie based on Stephen King’s short story, The Boogeyman (2023), released by 20th Century Studios. Blair once again landed a role opposite distinguished actors in writer-director Hallie Meyers-Shyer’s comedy, Goodrich (date to be announced), starring Michael Keaton, Mila Kunis, Andie MacDowell, Carmen Ejogo, and Kevin Pollak, and produced via Amy Pascal’s Pascal Pictures.
