Zach Aguilar (birthname: Zachary Aguilar) is a highly regarded voice actor for English-dubbed anime, best known among anime fans for his work in the features, TV series, and video games productions of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022), Genshin Impact (2020), Fire Emblem: Three Houses (2019), and the Demon Slayer film/TV/video franchise. Aguilar’s feature debut was in the live-action horror-action movie from writer-director Mamat Khalid, Apocalips X (2014), followed by Aguilar voice-dubbing in co-writer/director Kim Han-min’s historical action drama, The Admiral: Roaring Currents (2014), starring Choi Min-sik.
Aguilar continued his English voice-dubbing of live-action movies with writer-director Kim Kwang-tae’s drama, The Piper (2015); and Kim Jee-woon’s wartime drama, The Age of Shadows (2016), starring Lee Byung-hun and Song Kang-ho. Zach Aguilar’s first anime feature voice role was in Garo: Divine Flame (2016), followed by his first turn as the voice of Tanjiro in Demon Slayer: Sibling’s Bond (2019), directed by Haruo Sotozaki. Aguilar again took on the voice of Tanjiro in the Sotozaki-directed sequel, Demon Slayer: The Movie: Mugen Train (2020).
Aguilar voiced the anime character of Arthur Pendragon in The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light (2021) and then was part of the English-starring cast for Tetsuro Araki’s anime feature, Bubble (2022), which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. Aguilar soon starred in the English-dubbed version of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (2022), produced by Toei/Shueisha/Fox International Productions and directed by Tetsuro Kodama.
Zach Aguilar returned to the world of Tanjiro in Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village (2023), once again directed by Haruo Sotozaki, and then returned to his voice role as Pendragon in The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 (2023), directed by Bob Shirohata. Aguilar continued his commitment to the Demon Slayer franchise as the starring voice of Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training (2024), again helmed by the veteran anime specialist, Sotozaki, and produced and released by Aniplex, along with Shueisha and Ufotable.

Personal Details
Zach Aguilar was born and raised by his parents in Los Angeles. At age nine, Aguilar had medication-induced osteoporosis, which led to an accident in which he broke many bones. Aguilar endured a lengthy recovery, during which he decided to channel his interest in acting to voice acting, especially based on his love of anime-style animation. Along with regular schooling, Aguilar won auditions in 2014 hosted by Bang Zoom’s Adventures on Voice Acting at Anime Expo, launching his voice acting career.
