Acting in TV series and shorts and then, in 2000, co-founding and producing plays at the Los Angeles-based theater company, SpyAnts, Lori Evans Taylor ultimately shifted to screenwriting, specializing in the horror-thriller genre. Taylor wrote, produced, and directed her feature debut, the Hitchcockian horror-thriller Bed Rest (2022), with Melissa Barrera, Guy Burnet, Paul Essiembre, and Kristen Harris. Taylor’s screenplay (co-written by Gary Busick) for the sixth entry in the Final Destination series, is to be directed by Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts.
